Washi, La Doll paper clay

This is a scene from "Kanjincho", a famous Kabuki Play. I had the best time making this piece during my scholarship period. Going backstage at the Kabuki theatre in Tokyo, I was able to examine and measure the costumes, meet the actors and study their make-up. On average I was able to go and see Kabuki each month. However, Kanjincho was by far my favorite play!
